Music Improv #1

Musical Improvisation is very interesting. I am already learning about it, and throughout this semester it would be great to continue playing in groups.

What have I learned and how have I learned it?

Basically, it's simple. In a short semester, I have learned about several kinds of improvisation styles, such as jazz, blues, rock etc. I have also learned the difference between studio and live improv. How I have learned this is through experience. Blues groups, transitioned into jazz groups, transitioned into rock groups. For improv, perhaps a mix of learning by history and learning by doing is absolutley necessary.

This blog is a little late, but it was impossible to connect until right now.
